María Liébanas was born in 1989 in Madrid, where she still resides. Having lived in two countries beyond Spain, she learned to embrace the unfamiliar and to remain open to surprise — always seeking new landscapes, stories, and ways of understanding the world. Early on, she discovered something transformative in weddings: a powerful way of processing time and preserving memories for future generations.
She is deeply moved by the intimacy, connection, and quiet magic that emerges when people gather. Photography allows her to become part of those moments — to witness, to feel, and to translate that shared energy into honest, meaningful images.
Drawn to the language of photojournalism and the rhythm of slow poetry, María approaches her work with sensitivity and intention.
Work Experience
María has been part of Dosmasenlamesa Photography for the past four years, documenting weddings across Spain, Europe, and beyond. Throughout this time, she has photographed over 80 celebrations, accompanying couples from the first conversations to the day their stories unfold.
Before this chapter, she spent five years in Los Cabos, Mexico, where she created and led her own wedding photography brand, immersing herself in destination weddings and diverse cultures.
